Hanoi, Vietnam — For more than three decades, LOD Human Resource Development Corporation (LOD CORP) has been a pioneer in recruitment, vocational training, and overseas manpower deployment. Today, the company is doubling down on one of its most technically demanding specialties: supplying certified welders for structural steel, heavy industry, and shipbuilding projects around the world.

A Signature Expertise, Built Over Decades

Since 1992, LOD CORP has dispatched more than 61,000 workers to markets including Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, the Middle East, and Europe — including over 22,800 workers to Japan alone. Among these, LOD CORP has supplied over 1,000 skilled welders to Japanese shipyards, earning a reputation for delivering workers who meet the stringent technical and safety standards of international shipbuilding and heavy industry.

Training takes place at LOD College of Technology and Vocational Training, established in 2010, which houses a dedicated welding workshop equipped with industrial power sources, testing stations, and Japanese-standard simulators. Candidates are trained across multiple welding processes — SMAW, GMAW/FCAW, and GTAW — and certified for multi-position structural welding (3G, 4G, 6G), in line with international standards such as AWS D1.1, AWS D1.5 (Bridge Welding Code), ISO 9606-1, and JIS.

LOD CORP's welding workforce has been deployed with some of Japan's most respected shipbuilding and structural steel names, including Oshima Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., Sanwa Dock Co., Ltd., and Yokogawa Bridge Corp. In 2006, LOD CORP partnered with Oshima Shipbuilding and Daizo to establish the Daietsu Industrial Engineering Co., Ltd. joint venture, creating a dedicated technical training pipeline for Vietnamese shipbuilding talent that continues to this day.
